An independent view of what is really driving your business.
Logic in the Numbers is an independent Australian consultancy. We help boards, owners and executives understand how their business really performs and test the decisions in front of them before they commit.
When an independent assessment is worth having
Revenue is growing but profit is not.
One part of the business is quietly carrying another.
Cash is tighter than the profit says it should be.
A large decision is coming: an investment, a restructure, a new site, an exit.
The board wants an answer that does not come from inside the business.
You do not need to be in trouble. Often the reason to look is simply that something does not add up or you want to test the next big idea before committing to it.
Services
Strategic Business Diagnostic
An independent assessment of how the business performs, what is driving the results and where value is being made or lost.
Decision & Scenario Analysis
Your options tested against your assumptions, so you can see what each one delivers, what it depends on and how it holds up if conditions change, before you commit.
What you receive
You finish with a clear view of what is driving performance, where value is being made or lost, and which issues or decisions need attention first. Every finding comes with its evidence, so your board can challenge it, and we present the recommendations to you in person or online.
Who we work with
Boards and chairs, owners and family businesses, chief executives and leadership teams, and not-for-profit organisations. We work across Australia, online or in person.
Proof, not promises
Clarity
Small business
A small rural business looked healthy on paper. It was profitable, held plenty of cash and had almost no debt. Underneath, sales had fallen, costs had risen, and almost all of the year’s profit came from outside the operation. It was running less than 5% above breakeven. The advice was to hold the cash and fix the cost base before any expansion.
Group
Multi-division group
A group whose sales had grown every year for eight years. The board saw growth. Underneath, one division had slid from profit into loss and was being carried by the other two, and the best division was running down its plant to pay the dividend. The report shows what that was costing the group, and the three decisions the board needed to make.
Independent by design
We do not sell financial products or accounting services, and we take no commissions. We have no stake in what you decide. We work alongside your leadership team, accountant and advisers, so the analysis starts from complete, current information and the findings reflect how the business actually runs.
